We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service and to achieve this we need your co-operation. If you are not able to attend your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice so that we can allocate the time to someone else.
If we are not notified with sufficient time you will have to pay a late cancellation charge and this will depend on the length of your appointment which you will be informed of in your reminder email, text or appointment print out. This will be charged at the same rate as FTA charges of £1 / minute.
For appointments longer than 60minutes we request that you give us as much notice as possible, preferably 48 hours.
Failure to Attend (FTA)
Due to our long waiting times for appointments, FTA appointments will automatically incur a charge. The demand we have for patients requiring dental treatment is extremely high and we can not tolerate clinical time being wasted and as such unnecessarily lengthening waiting times for other patients.
FTAs and cancellations at short notice without a valid reason will result in a fee for wasted clinical time.
The charge currently stands at £1 per minute of appointment time, for example, failing to attend a 30 minute appointment will incur a £30 charge.
Therefore, the length of your appointment will depend on the charge applied to your account which you will be informed of in your reminder email, text or appointment print out. All outstanding charges must be paid prior to any further routine appointments being made and any pre planned, existing appointments will be cancelled until the charge is paid.
We appreciate your understanding in relation to our late cancellation and FTA policy in helping run an efficient appointment system. We will always take exceptional circumstances into consideration if the unforeseen happens and, on the rare occasion, you have to cancel an appointment at short notice.
